My Journey
My journey as an artist began with curiosity. I have always been drawn to small details and quiet moments, and I realized early on that creativity is where I feel most at home. Experimentation became the way I learn and grow. My work naturally moved toward blending minimal and maximal styles and mixing analogue textures with digital tools. I am still learning and shaping my creative voice, and each project shows me something new about who I am becoming. The timeline that follows shares the moments that shaped me.
"I care about learning through process, building community, and creating work that feels honest and alive."

In 2014, I created “Maide Akan Designs” and “Aybag,” two handmade eco bag brands in Qazaqstan, using my own illustrations. I didn't
know it then, but this small project became the starting point of my interest in design and visual communication.

One of my first experiences with teaching and leading workshops was a finger-painting art session I organized, which sparked my interest in creative education and community engagement.

When I graduated high school, I was honored with the Art 12 Excellence Award, a recognition that felt like a quiet confirmation that I was on the right creative path.

My first publication was a book I wrote and illustrated in 2015 about a girl named Aysu and the environmental impact of plastic bags. It was published by Hertfordshire Press.

My collage on the theme of hope earned an art award and scholarship from Forge Properties,
a small turning point that showed me the power
of visual storytelling.

Today, I am a Communication Design student
at Emily Carr, learning, experimenting, and
shaping the kind of creative work I want to put
into the world.
